Performances > My Favorite Grandmother
A space where we can share stories about and as told by our grandparents. Inspired in part by my grandmother’s stories of wartime recession, when women drew lines on their legs to simulate stockings they couldn’t afford, I created a performance/installation that was presented at the DUMBO Art Festival. In addition, I spent an afternoon with passersby where we shared stories about our favorite grandmothers. Our experiences together were very moving, so I decided to create this site. Adults and children alike are welcome to visit, read and post comments on the existing stories.
